Testamentary

A testamentary is a trust created through the last will and testament. It becomes effective at the grantor's death. Testamentary refers to a document, gift, or power that is not to take effect irrevocably until the death of the maker. Another type of trust, an inter vivos trust, becomes effective during the grantor's lifetime.
