Dynasty Trust Limit

Many states limit the Dynasty trust to twenty-one years past the life of anyone alive when the trust is created.

Example:

Betsy is a young girl when her grandmother establishes a Dynasty Trust. She is the last generation alive when her grandmother establishes the trust, so the Dynasty Trust will end with her children. They will inherit the remaining trust assets twenty-one years after her death.
